Lisbon-Fatima –Rome & Assisi

November 17-25-2006

Day 1 - Today we depart out of Newark Intl Airport on our overnight flight to Lisbon. We will be served complementary beverages, in-flight movies, dinner and breakfast aloft

Day 2 We arrive at Lisbon Airport, go thru customs. Met by our tour guide drive to Fatima. Register at hotel, rest for a few hours. In the afternoon tour on the city. After diner, we join the Rosary and candlelight procession.

DAY 3 - FATIMA This full day is devoted to visiting the Basilica and Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. Valinhos, Aljustrel the town of the birthplaces of Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia to whom the Virgin appeared for the first time on May 13th, 1917. Our afternoon will be free for private devotion. In the evening, we join the Rosary and candlelight procession. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 4 After breakfast, we will be transferred to Lisbon Airport, to board a plane to Rome. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 5 Today, we tour the Christian Rome

Day 6 After breakfast, we will be taken to St. Peter's for an audience with Pope Benedict XVI at the Paul VI Hall of Audiences Afternoon at leisure.

Day 7. After breakfast, we leave for Assisi. - We’ll visit the Basilica of St. Francesco with Mass. After our visit of the Basilica and the tomb of St. Francis, we begin our walking tour of the village. Included, will be a visit to the Church of St. Clare to view the crucifix that spoke to St. Francis. We pass by the famous Temple of Minerva in the Piazza del Comune. Later we return to Rome Tonight we celebrate our traditional American custom: Thanksgiving with a special meal.
