Holy Land Greece and Cyprus July 17-29-2006 (pictures: Fr. Tomas) Day 1.– Depart U.S.A. You'll leave this evening on an overnight flight to Athens, Greece Day 2.– Welcome to Greece. You are greeted by your tour guide and transferred to the hotel. Remainder of day is at leisure for becoming acclimated to a new time zone. In the evening, enjoy a dinner in the Plaka with traditional Greek music and dancing.

3.– Our
journey through the ancient Peloponnese is a true joy, a great enrichment.
This area is a full of treasures depicting a civilization that still
captivates the World. We visit Mycenae, the Homeric city with ist Lion Gate,
the ruins of the Palace of Agamemnon, an the Royal Tombs. Continue to
Corinth of St. Paul, and the marketplace were the apostle preached to the
Corinthians, the Temple of Apollo and the Corinth Museum. Continue tu the
Corinthian Canal to Athens.
Day 4.– This morning your city tour includes the highlights of ancient city of Acrópolis and Mars Hill where St. Paul preached the Parthenon Rock, the Olympic Stadium, Presidential Palace, etc. In the evening, transfer to the airport. Departure to Cyprus. Arrive to Larnaka Day 5.– Sightseeing of Nicosia and Lárnaka, the capital of Cyprus: the Tomb of Lazarus, Museum and other places. In the evening, transfer to the airport. Departure to Tel Aviv. Day 6.- In the morning, departure from Tel Aviv. travel to Yaffo, the old city where St. Peter opened up the Church to the Gentiles and the site where Jonah began his voyage. On the way go to Caesarea Maritime, one of the oldest dioceses in the Holy Land and place of the one the most important Christian libraries in the second century See the old Roman Aqueduct, the impressive theatre and the harbor. In the way to the north is Haifa the industrial city of Israel. Go into the cave where Elijah lived and prayed and the place were the Devotion of O.L. of Mt. Carmel start. Visit the Crusade City of St. John of Accre Day 7 and 8 Go to Galilee, visit the the ruins of the city of Kfarnaum, where a great part of Jesus life took place. Walk in the ruins of Betsaida, the birthplace of many of the apostles. Banias, the church of primate of Peter. Walk the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount. From there to Tabga, site where Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes. Walk along the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Church of Primacy - Visit the city of Nazareth, where Jesus spent His infant and adolescent years. Enter the Basilica of the Annunciation and St. Joseph’s workshop. Visit the Church of Cana, the place where Jesus’ first miracle was witnessed , the Wedding at Cana. Travel to Jerusalem. In the route, renew of the baptism compromises in the Jordan River. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Walk the Via Dolorosa, the Ecce Homo, St. Peter in Galli Canto. In the Mount of Olives, the Church of Dominus Flevit, Mary of Magdala Tomb, the Tomb of Mary, the Blessed Mother, Month Scopus, Ascension Church, the Our Father Church. In Betania, the Church of Lazarus. In Mt. Sion the Tomb of David, the Cenacle, the Dormition Abbey , Bethlehem, the Nativity Church, the Shepherds place, and more.
